During the current coronavirus pandemic, it’s essential to wear a face mask in indoor public places. Medically approved face coverings help to slow the airborne spread of COVID-19 infection. Medical Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 Masks
Medical Level 1, 2 & 3 Masks are also called “surgical masks.” This type of mask is worn by medical personnel during surgery to guard against the transfer of bodily fluids. Convenient and safe, the masks provide a filter efficiency of ≥ 98% and are approved by Health Canada.
These masks cover the lower half of the face, protecting your employee’s mouth and nose from inhaling potentially infectious respiratory droplets. They protect nearby colleagues and members of the public from the wearer’s respiratory fluids and saliva, as well.
Medical Level 1, 2 & 3 Masks are designed for one-time use and should be discarded safely after removal.
Face Shields
Medical grade face shields, approved by Health Canada, consist of a transparent plastic panel that hangs down from the forehead to below the chin. This creates a barrier for the entire facial area against respiratory splashes and sprays that could transmit coronavirus. In addition, a shield discourages the wearer from touching their face, reducing the possibility of infection when hands are contaminated.
The panel has anti-fog properties and is held comfortably in place by foam and elastic headband, which should be positioned approximately ½ to 1 inch above the eyebrows.
To maximize effectiveness, users should also wear a mask under the face shield.
N95 Respirator Mask
N95 respirator masks (considered Class 1 medical devices) reduce the danger that wearers will inhale infectious particles and droplets. The edges of these face masks, when put on correctly, will seal around the mouth and nose for a filtration efficiency of 95% or greater.
N95 respirator masks are tested and certified by the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Only Health Canada-authorized companies, such as Brymark, are permitted to distribute them in Canada.
Reusable Custom Mask
